When unplanned meetings are sometimes the best.

A late car pickup due to our rental being double booked, getting our togs on to go to the beach only for it to rain, all led to us eventually stopping and asking a small local koko farmer if we could visit his farm.

With limited language skills between us, he proudly showed us his farm, the ripe and unripe cacao and his various other crops, including taro and papaya. He then gave us three ripe koko pods to take with us and try.

A lovely moment of spontaneous sharing. You don't need to speak the same language to communicate. As I tell my high-school French students, as long as you try your meaning will be understood.
